MicroMouse 2026 Competition
May 2, 2026
On the 2nd of May the 2026 MicroMouse competition will take place, in which robots autonomously solve a maze as fast as possible! Teams that have built a MicroMouse robot throughout the year will be able to compete to get the fastest time.
This competition is a great way to learn about all aspects of robtotics! We will give workshops throughout the year to help you build your robot, so you can join even if you don’t have any experience.


Algorithms workshop

Take your MicroMouse robot’s maze-solving skills to the next level with advanced algorithms!
We’ll cover the following topics: 🤖 Using maze-solving algorithms like floodfill to find the shortest path through the maze 🗺️ How to use your digital map of the maze from the Mapping & Navigation workshop to inform these algorithms 💻 Strategies for optimizing your robot for speed and accuracy

Swarming Robotics Hackathon

Ready to dive into the world of multi-robot systems, distributed intelligence, and autonomous coordination? During this hackathon, you’ll work in teams of 10 in a swarm robotics challenge. Think collaboration, adaptability, and robots that move and decide as one.

Mapping & Navigation Workshop

The RSA project evening will go over all the projects that are currently running, and are coming up. New updates about existing projects and future projects and updates about all the robotics-related development in RSA. Open positions will be revealed ranging from project leader, to media person to hardware/software lead.


General Members Assembly
February 9, 2026
On the 9th of February, from 18:00, we will have our second General Members Assembly! This is where we will go over the changes in the association the past half year, and moving forward. It will also be the dedicated moment for you, the members, to give input on how the association is ran and what you would like to see improved in the future! 🤖 We’ll be sending the official invitations by e-mail soon. After closing the GMA, we will have some time left for drinks, board games, etc!


Embedded Workshop

This time, we’re diving into the Raspberry Pi Pico, exploring how to interface with various sensors and components to build even cooler projects.
New participants are welcome if they have basic electronics knowledge (such as from the Electronics workshop). If you’re participating in MicroMouse, you’ll get to learn how to use all of the devices on your MicroMouse robot! You can also join if you’re not participating in MicroMouse.
We’ll cover the following topics: 👨🏽💻 Raspberry Pi Pico – microcontroller magic! 👁 Sensor Interfacing – connect and read data from various sensors. 🚗 Component Control – make motors move, LEDs blink, and more! 🗩 Communication Protocols – I2C in action

PCB Design Workshop
November 19, 2025
Learn how to design a Printed Circuit Board, which will host all of your electronics and create connections between them!
We’ll cover the following topics: 📐Designing a schematic to connect all of your compoments 🧩 Placing all of the components on your PCB ✏️ Drawing the wires on your circuit board 🛒 Ordering PCBs
If you’re participating in MicroMouse, you’ll get the opportunity to start designing the PCB for your MicroMouse robot! You can also join if you’re not participating in MicroMouse.


MicroMouse Launch event
November 15, 2025
In this competition, you will be building a robot in teams of 1 to 4 people. The aim of your robot will be to solve a maze as fast as possible, fully autonomously! We will hold a launch event on the 15th of November, where you can start thinking about your design with your team and tinker with the components we have. Over the course of the year, we will be holding a few workshops which will help you build your robot, including on CAD, algorithms, PCB design, and Arduino. We will ensure that you can get a working robot by just attending the workshops and monthly work sessions, so you don’t need much free time to participate!

Robotics & Renewable Energy Hackathon
October 6, 2025
Are you ready to engineer the robots that shape tomorrow’s energy? In this hackathon, you’ll get to build robots in teams of 4 or 5 people to tackle a challenge related to renewable energy.
The challenge will be revealed on Monday 6th of October, after which you will have the rest of the week to design, build and test your robot. On Friday from 18:00 you will get to compete with other teams! You’ll get space to work on your prototype on Monday evening, Wednesday evening and Friday at any point during the day. There will be free dinner on all three evenings, as well as an €800 prize pool!
This hackathon is suitable for people that are new to robotics. We’ll provide a small introduction workshop on relevant topics on Monday as well as help and guidance throughout the hackathon.

We are excited to invite you to this quarter’s project evening from the Delft Robotics Student Association! RSA projects will get a chance to present their progress. This is the opportunity to join one of these, such as the RoboCup robot football team, the Deinobotics bipedal robot, the new RoboSub underwater robotics team, or maybe a new project!!!

During the hackathon we will also organize the Robotics Bootcamp, where you get to learn how to build a robot! After that, you can decide to join the Robotics Student Association.

RSA + Boskalis hackathon

We’re teaming up with Boskalis for an exciting Hackathon from the 6th to the 10th of May focused on the preservation of natural coastal areas with the help of Robotics! 🌊🤖 Grab your team (4–5 people) and get creative with at least €100 budget per team to build your own prototype.

Advanced PCB workshop

If you already have experience with designing PCBs, or if you already attended the first PCB design workshop, this is where you can learn more about how to design advanced PCBs for your robots 🧩! We’ll go into detail about advanced features of KiCad and go over certain common circuits ⚡


📢 Last drink in the old RoboHouse building

After the CAD workshop, join us for a special farewell drinks event at Keldertje at 9 PM ! 🍻 This will be our last chance to gather for drinks in the RoboHouse building before everyone’s access is revoked in just a few days. To make the evening even better, RSA is covering the first beer/soft drink, and there will be free snacks as usual! 🎉 Let’s come together to reminisce, share stories, and celebrate the great memories we’ve made in this space. Agri-robotics hackathon

We are organizing a hackathon centred around agri-robotics in partnership with Koppert and RoboHouse! The challenge will let you make use of computer vision and machine learning to solve a problem for the agricultural sector through robotics solutions. We will unveil the challenge a week before the hackathon, so that you can have time to think about your solution and prepare it. On the day of the hackathon itself you’ll get access to the hardware and will be able to compete with others!

RSA Lustrum weekend

This year our association will turn five years old, and that means it’s time for a party🎉! For our main lustrum event we will organize a 36 hour hackathon, which also include multiple workshops to introduce any new members to robotics! The lustrum will be kicked off with a party on Friday evening, followed by the hackathon and workshops during the weekend. So keep the date clear in your agenda, and we hope to see you there 🤖
